Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your DMComments account and every piece of data we hold about you and your Instagram accounts. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Delete from inside the app

1. Log in at dmcomments.com.
2. Go to Settings → Profile → Delete account.
3. Confirm with your password. Deletion runs immediately.

Delete by email

Email hello@dmcomments.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We verify and complete the deletion within 30 days (usually the same day) and confirm by reply.

What gets deleted

• All connected Instagram accounts and their stored access tokens (revoked immediately).
• All Instagram-derived data: media metadata, comments and message events, contacts, leads, and automation activity.
• Your automations, flows, AI settings and usage, CRM data, moderation and collaboration records, and short links.
• Your KYC record (PAN, Aadhaar, bank details), if any.
• Your profile: email, name, phone, and login credentials are erased and all sessions are revoked.

What is retained

Invoices and order records we are legally required to keep for tax purposes are retained for the statutory period in a form no longer linked to any identifiable person. If buyers purchased digital products from your storefront, their own purchase receipts remain (they belong to the buyer), but your identity is removed.

Disconnecting Instagram without deleting your account

Settings → Instagram Accounts → Disconnect removes that account's access token and stops all data collection for it immediately.
